Sausages with Easy White Wine Gravy recipe

This is a wonderfully fast winter meal, perfect for when you're in a rush but you still want some warm comforting food. Serve with some mash and some cooked green veggies.

Ingredients:

  • 8 herby pork sausages
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 bottle white wine
  • 1 tbsp. grainy mustard
  • 1 tbsp. butter

Directions:

  1. Dry fry the sausages in a large frying pan until golden brown, then remove from the pan. Slice the onion.

  2. Add butter to the pan. Add the onion and cook over a medium heat until brown and soft.

  3. Add wine and mustard, boil for 3-4 minutes then add the sausages back to the pan. Simmer for 15 minutes. The sausages will be cooked and tender and the sauce will have reduced. Serve.

Use chicken stock instead of the wine if you're serving this to children. This recipe serves 4.
